Driven to Explore

One woman is going to the Moon.
Another is chasing something just as big.

A feature documentary following a 10-day road trip across America during the 10-day Artemis II mission to the Moon - capturing the momentum, the wonder, and the women shaping the future of space in real time.

THE MISSION ON EARTH

In April 2026, as NASA’s Artemis II launches its first crewed mission around the Moon, Aspiring Astronaut Alyssa Carson begins a journey of her own—on the ground.

Starting in Cape Canaveral, she witnesses the historic launch, then hits the road—traveling across America over the same 10 days the mission unfolds in space with her best friend and Ocean Engineer Grace by her side.

Her destination: San Diego, where she’ll be there to witness the splashdown as the crew returns to Earth.

Along the way, Alyssa meets with trailblazing women in science, engineering, and space—capturing stories that reflect the mission happening above them in real time.

10 days. Two journeys. One shared moment in history.

Why This Matters

The future of space isn’t decades away - it’s happening right now.

And for the first time, a new generation is watching it unfold in real time.

This story is about more than one mission.

It’s about access, representation, and inspiring the next wave of explorers, scientists, and dreamers to see themselves in what’s possible.

Why This Film Is Different

Filmed in real time alongside the historic Artemis II mission, where the FIRST WOMAN will orbit the Moon: Astronaut Christina Koch!
